Your image gets printed directly onto a sheet of 1/16" thick aluminum. The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. About Guy Pettingell
As both of my parents were talented artists I have always had a keen interest in visual art. I studied art & photography to a tertiary level, but didn't persevere any further as I found that earning actual money was more appealing! Having grown up in the U.K. I migrated to New Zealand at 21, continuing with drawing & photography as a hobby while doing various jobs in which I learned a number of different yet complimentary skills. While working as a self employed panelbeater & car painter I realised that if I could make complicated repair sections for cars I could also create steel sculptures, making all manner of things from dragons to roses.
