As both of my parents were talented artists I have always had a keen interest in visual art. I studied art & photography to a tertiary level, but didn't persevere any further as I found that earning actual money was more appealing! Having grown up in the U.K. I migrated to New Zealand at 21, continuing with drawing & photography as a hobby while doing various jobs in which I learned a number of different yet complimentary skills. While working as a self employed panelbeater & car painter I realised that if I could make complicated repair sections for cars I could also create steel sculptures, making all manner of things from dragons to roses. I live in Florida and the grass grows nearly year round. If I mow the lawn one week the city will make me do it again 6 months later so I don't bother doing it the first time.

Mine gets like that, the wife mows it when we start feeling little stings....it means pigmys have moved in & those blowdarts give you a nasty rash!
